Agentic AI Solutions That Plan, Act and Check Their Own Work

We build agentic AI systems that run whole business processes: several AI agents working as a team, passing work between them and asking your people when a decision matters.

The basics

What Makes an AI System Agentic?

Most AI tools wait for a prompt and give one answer. An agentic AI system is given a goal. It works through a loop of planning, acting and checking until the job is finished, and it knows when to stop and ask.

A single agent handles one job. Agentic AI connects several of them into a process. If one job is all you need, our AI agent development service is the better fit.

  1. 1

    Plan

Breaks the goal into steps and decides which agent or tool should handle each one.

  2. 2

    Act

Carries out a step: reads a document, queries a system, drafts a message or updates a record.

  3. 3

    Check

Compares the result with the rules and the goal. If something is off, it tries again or changes the plan.

  4. 4

    Hand off

Moves to the next step, or brings in a person when a decision is outside its limits.

Repeat until the goal is met, or a person is needed.

Example processes

Business Processes We Turn Into Agentic Workflows

Agentic AI is at its best on processes that cross several systems and several desks. Each one below ends with the decision that stays with your team.

Order to cash

Customer orders go from inbox to invoice without being retyped.

  1. Reads the PO from email
  2. Checks credit and stock
  3. Creates the sales order
  4. Sends the confirmation
  5. Approves credit overrides

Procure to pay

Supplier invoices are matched and queried before anyone opens them.

  1. Extracts invoice lines
  2. Matches PO and receipt
  3. Emails the supplier about gaps
  4. Prepares the payment run
  5. Releases the payment

Customer onboarding

New accounts are set up in hours, with every check recorded.

  1. Collects documents
  2. Verifies details
  3. Creates accounts in each system
  4. Sends the welcome pack
  5. Reviews flagged cases

Support escalations

Tricky tickets arrive with the investigation already done.

  1. Classifies the issue
  2. Checks orders and logs
  3. Finds similar past cases
  4. Drafts the fix or reply
  5. Handles refunds and complaints

Month-end reporting

The first draft of the monthly pack is ready on day one.

  1. Pulls figures from each system
  2. Flags variances
  3. Explains the big movements
  4. Drafts the commentary
  5. Signs off the report

What we deliver

Our Agentic AI Development Services

We take a process from a whiteboard sketch to a system your team relies on, and stay to keep it working.

Talk to an Engineer

Multi-Agent Orchestration

A coordinating layer that plans the work, passes it between specialist agents, keeps track of every case and recovers when a step fails.

Human-in-the-Loop Design

Approval screens, exception queues and clear hand-offs, so your team sees what the agents did and steps in only where it matters.

Architecture

Inside an Agentic AI System

Four layers, with guardrails running through all of them. This separation is what lets us test, change and trust each part on its own.

  1. Your team

Sets goals, approves key decisions and handles the exceptions.

    • Approvals
    • Exception queue
    • Reports
  2. Orchestrator

Plans each case, assigns steps and keeps track of where everything is.

    • Planning
    • Case state
    • Retries
  3. Specialist agents

Each does one job well and hands the result on.

    • Intake
    • Research
    • Drafting
    • Checking
    • Filing
  4. Tools & data

The systems the agents are allowed to use, and nothing more.

    • ERP
    • CRM
    • Email
    • Documents
    • APIs & MCP

Is it a fit?

Is Your Process Ready for Agentic AI?

A quick way to judge before you talk to anyone, including us.

A good fit when

  • The process has many steps and touches several systems
  • It happens often, dozens or hundreds of times a week
  • An experienced person could explain the rules to a new colleague
  • Mistakes can be caught before they become expensive
  • The information is digital, even if it is messy (emails, PDFs, spreadsheets)

Not yet when

  • The process changes every few weeks
  • The key information lives on paper or in one person's head
  • Every case is a one-off judgement call
  • A fixed workflow would already do the job

In those cases we will usually suggest starting with simpler AI workflow automation or sorting out the data first.

How we work

From One Process to an Agentic Operation

We start small on purpose. One process, measured properly, tells you more than a company-wide plan ever will.

  1. 01

    Assess

We map one process end to end, measure time, cost and error rates today, and agree which steps agents will take on.

You getProcess map and business case

  2. 02

    Pilot

The agents run in shadow mode next to your team on real cases, so we can compare their work with yours before they touch anything.

You getWorking pilot and test report

  3. 03

    Go live

The agents take over the agreed steps. Your team approves exceptions from a single queue and can see every case.

You getProduction system, dashboards and runbook

  4. 04

    Expand

We add steps, give more freedom where the results have earned it and reuse the same agents in other processes.

You getRoadmap for the next processes

Industries

Where Agentic AI Is Already Useful

Almost every industry has processes that move paperwork between systems and people. These are the ones we see most often.

  • Manufacturing

Purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, quality reports

  • Retail & e-commerce

Order problems, returns, product catalog updates

  • Logistics

Shipment exceptions, customs and delivery documents

  • Financial services

    Customer onboarding checks, reconciliations

  • Healthcare

    Referral intake, claims paperwork, scheduling

  • Professional services

    Proposals, timesheet checks, client reporting

FAQ

Agentic AI Questions, Answered

Can't find your question? Ask us directly.

What is agentic AI?

Agentic AI describes AI systems that can work toward a goal with some independence. Instead of answering one prompt, they plan the steps, use tools and business systems, check their own results and adjust, bringing in a person when a decision is outside their limits.

What is the difference between agentic AI and an AI agent?

An AI agent is a single piece of software with one job, such as reading invoices. Agentic AI is the wider approach, and usually means several agents working together on a whole process, with a coordinating layer, shared rules and human approvals. If you only need one agent, see our AI agent development service.

How is agentic AI different from generative AI?

Generative AI creates content, such as a summary or a draft email, when someone asks. Agentic AI uses generative models as one part of a system that also takes actions: it can draft the email, check it against your rules, send it through your CRM and follow up if there is no reply.

How is agentic AI different from RPA?

RPA bots follow fixed click-by-click scripts and tend to break when a screen or document changes. Agentic systems can read unstructured content and decide the next step, so they cope with variation. Many businesses use both: RPA for rigid, high-volume steps and agents for the parts that need judgement.

How do we stay in control of an agentic AI system?

Each agent gets only the permissions its job needs, costly or irreversible actions need human approval, and every step is logged. You get a queue of exceptions, dashboards showing what the system did and a way to pause it at any time. Autonomy is increased only when the results justify it.

How do you measure the return on agentic AI?

We measure the process before we start: time per case, cost, error rate and how long customers wait. The pilot is judged against those same numbers on real cases, so the decision to go further is based on evidence rather than a demo.

Do we need to replace our existing systems?

No. Agentic AI works through the systems you already have, using their APIs, email, shared folders or a small integration layer where there is no API. Infilon has been building ERP and business software since 2009, so this is familiar ground.

How long does an agentic AI project take?

An assessment of one process usually takes a couple of weeks. A pilot on real cases typically follows within a few weeks after that. Going live depends on the number of systems involved and your security reviews, and we agree the plan with you after the assessment.

Pick one process. We'll show you what agents can do with it.

In a 30-minute call we will walk through the process with you, point out the steps agents could take over and tell you honestly if it isn't a good candidate.

Useful to have ready for the call

  • 1The process you would most like to fix
  • 2The systems it runs through today
  • 3Rough volumes and how long each case takes
  • 4Who signs off on what, and why

None of it is required. We can work it out together.
